The management of an anaphylactic crisis in schools is a frightening subject. The casualty goes from perfect good health to a life threatening emergency situation within minutes of exposure to their particular allergen. School nurses are encouraged to attend a course run by the anaphylaxis campaign. Staff members of schools and members of the general public however are not able to attend these courses. Cambrian are now able to deliver a course suitiable for any member of staff or public. The course, of two and a half hours duration, covers all the learning criteria of the anaphylaxis campaign, including, the causes of anaphylaxis, the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, treatment of anaphylaxis and the use of the two generally available auto injectors (epipen & anapen). Upon completion of the course candidates will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
